♡ History: Hana Song was once a pro-gamer. He became a professional StarCraft player, who participated in the WCS Korea Code S League. At the age of 16, he became the #1 ranked player in the world and proceeded to go undefeated for the next three years in all competitions. He became an international star, beloved by his fans at home and abroad, and toured in exhibitions around the world.
However, at home, the omnic crisis was wreaking havoc in Korea. Using automated robots to fight back until the omnic force adapted and disrupted the drone-control networks, the government turned to the country's professional gamers, who possessed the necessary reflexes and instincts to operate the mechs' advanced weapons systems. Top stars were drafted, including Hana. Seeing his new mission as a game, Song now fearlessly charges into battle alongside the rest of his MEKA unit, ready to spring to his nation's defense at a moment's notice. ♡ Physical: Standing at a brisk 5'4", Hana is a short one. He's a rather smaller build, which is important since he spends a good deal of time hunched in the confines of his bright pink Mech. Typically spotted with dark chestnut boyish haircut and side swept bangs, he's always in his one-piece jumpsuit (zipper at the back) and headphones when geared up for a mission. True to major league gamer form, he has a company-esque logo of "MECA" printed on his left leg and sponsors printed on the right. He typically draws two pink lines across symmetrical sides of his cheeks. He tends to think it makes him look cooler (it doesn't). The headphones are a complicated comm-link system that allows communication directly with other enabled Overwatch agents and his own mech. Otherwise, it's probably blasting Korean hip hop.
Outside of combat and in the public eye, Hana is probably wearing something you'd see in a streetwear magazine. He's very conscious of his own style and spends a good deal of free time keeping up to date on various trends. Being a movie star and pro level gamer, he's recognized pretty frequently, so he tries to keep up a good image.
On his own, however, when he's not around cameras or particularly interested in keeping up appearances (reads: late night starcraft binges on fake blizz IDs), he'll wear whatever's comfortable. This might be a sweatshirt that's a few sizes too big, a pair of boxers with bunny print on them, or just some worn in slacks and simple t-shirts with old anime references on them.
♡ Mentality: Hana is fiercely competitive. Prior to joining Overwatch, he was a top tier video game star, known for being absolutely deadly towards his opponents. Generally speaking though, he's somewhat cocky and comes off unintentionally arrogant. His tone is almost always jovial to some extent, but can reach chiding or mocking tones all too well. Back home, he's generally considered a mood maker around friends, bringing vigor, competitiveness and youthfulness to those around him.
Having been trained in the public eye for much of his life and dealing with himself accordingly, he finds it hard to balance between how he should act publicly and privately. His primary mode of dealing with stress is generally making it a lighter situation so that others are more comfortable, but his highly developed extrovert senses are often dotted with underlying introverted feeling. He's most uncomfortable when he feels like he doesn't have the upper hand, and although his confidence runs pretty high, situations like that can really get to him at the core and make him reach out inward into his own uncertainty.
♡ On his body: Hana typically carries a pack of bubble gum everywhere he goes. His mech is outfitted with cameras that he's turned into his own public twitch stream, which garnishes a good deal of Korean and oversees watchers. His cell phone charm is his bunny symbol, which is also attached to a pistol that he keeps with him in times of emergency ejection from his mech. His aim is somewhat sketchy.
If he's just exited his Mech, chances are he smells somewhat sweaty with the sense that he's been around machines and machine oil. It doesn't bother Hana in the slightest. Otherwise, he cleans up well and prefers lightly scented, somewhat earthy and playful undertones in his personal products.
